Where do I get one of these? I’m going to be needing to make a tool that’s very similar in shape to this to pull a suspension link, and this would save me a fair amount of fab work!

Grainger and McMaster Carr both have these. They’re primarily for hanging pipe from I-beams. $3-10 depending on the size you need.
In my application, they’re for supporting the support rails on a room made of insulated metal skin foam panels, because such a ceiling can’t support itself when it’s 28' span.

Interesting! I’m probably going to be pulling the toe-links on the Volvo. It normally requires a $120 tool, but I’ve been looking at ways to make one, and that may be a perfect starting point and save me some fabrication work.
